Recent update on application of dihydromyricetin in metabolic related diseases

DHM has a wide range of applications, not only in liver diseases,
metabolic diseases, cancers, neurodegenerative diseases, but also in the
treatment of mental diseases, bacterial infections, osteoporosis, kidney
injury and other diseases.

In this review, we elucidate the mechanism of DHM and some metabolic diseases, and found that DHM can play a role through anti-oxidation, anti-inflammation, promoting cell death and regulating lipid and glucose metabolism, and can also treat diseases through signal pathways (AMPK, PI3K/Akt, PPAR), signal molecules,
miRNAs, OS and so on.
